Founded by Dr. Olusola Coker, formerly of the National Orthopedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos. The Hospital started full operation on Monday July 27, 2015 after a dedication ceremony Saturday July 25, 2015 by Rev. Fr. Innocent Ejiofor. Saint Crost Hospital coming to Iju was borne out of bringing orthopaedics to the Iju and its environs. Saint Crost Hospital started as a small clinic with a single doctor dedicated to providing quality care to the local community.
In August 2012 Rev Fr. Paul Ighabor asked me to run St. Kizito Catholic Church Clinic Iju station and I discovered that Management of trauma and orthopaedic patients in Iju and environs was virtually not in existence. St. Crost Hospital has moved from a one-man doctor hospital to four (4) doctors'rs hospital and arrays of specialists. Immediately after the July 25, 2015 dedication, two (2) retired chief matrons vested in orthopaedics and emergency medical services volunteered to work in the hospital and they resumed officially Monday July 27 2015. St. Crost Hospital has come to stay as the centre for management of accident cases and bone related cases in Iju. The hospital performs different Surgeries in orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynaecology, burns and plastic offers Services in general medicine, pediatrics and family medicine.
From a one-doctor facility to a comprehensive hospital, we've continuously evolved to meet community needs.
